CHICAGO CITIZENS GROUPS HAVE FILED FCC PETITIONS TO DENY ENTRUSTING LOCAL TV LICENSES FOR ANOTHER 8 YEARS TO THE SAME COMPANIES! Complete text (.pdf) of these historic filings, with attached research and citizens' affidavits, are linked here: Licenses for several big stations should not be renewed because the current licensee companies do not cover local election candidates and issues. And the licenses for those and most other local stations should not be renewed because the current licensee companies abuse their obligations and the public trust in many documented ways.
